The legendary Omega Moon Watch - the first watch on the moon..

SPEEDMASTER MOON WATCH

THE STORY

On July 20th 1969, Neil Armstrong & Buzz Aldrin became the first men to set foot on the moon.

They were wearing a wristwatch made by Omega - The Speedmaster Pro.

It was the first watch to be officially qualified by NASA for space travel,

and to this day it is still the only watch qualified by NASA for EVA - ExtraVehicular Activity.

(that’s a space walk to you & me).

Since that iconic Apollo 11 mission., the Speedmaster Pro has taken on legendary status,

being dubbed the “Moon Watch”.

WHAT WE DID

Beaverbrooks have an enviable reputation in the luxury watch market.

They teamed up with Omega to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landings.

We made an epic little film to commemorate the incredible Moon Watch,

mixing images and footage from the Apollo 11 flight and the moon landing itself.

Of course, such an iconic watch commands a premium price tag (up to £40,000)

...But then, it was the first watch on the moon…
